The Avenue Cookery School's aim, as a family-run school, is to teach people of all ages and abilities an understanding of food. Moving away from cookbook dependency and to start treating recipes as sources of inspiration and guidance. They teach all of this during their fun, carefully structured classes & courses, while incorporating love and enthusiasm and a relaxed, fun atmosphere in their Wandsworth Town and City kitchens. Offering anything from short public (and sometimes boozy) classes to corporate events or private hens and kids parties - you name it they do it!
What to expect?
The popular Dinner Party Dining Classes involve cooking new, fun and interesting dinner party dishes to impress your guests. They are there to help you put the wow factor into your dinner parties!
This class will ensure that you leave feeling capable of producing a delicious evening meal for your friends and family at home, in the most efficient way possible. We want to teach you how to be organised and prepare as much as you can before your guests arrive, so they can enjoy your company – after all that is why they are coming for dinner! Oh and of course for the delicious food!
When you arrive you will be greeted with some fresh homemade bread and a glass of wine, which we will keep topped up throughout the evening! Once you have made yourself at home, the fun continues with a lively and interesting demonstration of the courses you will cook that evening with lots of extra useful tips and tricks. The chefs will pre-prepare one course due to time constraints but will cover this in the demonstration so you know what to do. Feel free to ask as many questions as you like and write down all of the useful information we give you in your recipe booklet.
Having cooked your delicious dinner with a little helping hand from their chefs, you’ll get to sit down, relax and enjoy the fruits of your labour! The dishes vary depending on which evening you book, for more information about the menus of each evening please see here.
